Finally in NYC but can't escape the Vancouver rain

Arrived in NYC around 6:30 am and checked at the fabulous St. Regis in Upper Manhattan by 8:00. The hotel is small intimate and absolutely insane. There's a chandelier in my bathroom for crying out loud. A CHANDELIER, people!

I'm totally can't believe I'm finally here but man I'm bushed. Jetlag has set in with a vengeance and the torrential rain is not helping. However, even with the exhaustion it's been a great day. Let's see today we:

• Walked around Rockefeller Centre (Ice rink was unfortunately flooded)
• Ambled over to Times Square
• Eric skipped breakfast and had cheesecake at 10am at Junior's (the home of the New York style cheesecake).
• Returned to the hotel for a quick nap and shower
• Back out the East Village and dinner at Ippudo (ramen and pork buns) mmmm...
• Finally taking in the Canuck game via streaming video

Big screen TV here I come.
